A letter from Sendai, Japan

Sendai, March 18

Dear friends,

Today we moved back to our house after staying in an evacuation site since the big earthquake hit Japan on March 11.
And we finally have our electricity, water, and internet connection back. My apologies to those of you who tried to contact me through this blog or Flickr since days ago.
Although things are a bit chaotic in our house, we have our home to live in. And most importantly, my husband and I have each other. I felt incredibly relieved to finally see him that day.

I have so many things to share and I am hoping to write more after we settled things out.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support.
It seems to take a while until the condition gets better, but I do hope I can share our food and happiness again with you.

Love,

Arudhi

    Best regards,

  6. Hi Arudhi,

  7. Dear all, I`m very touched with your encouraging messages. Thank you so much for the prayers too. I hope Japan can get through this painful experience.

CG: We live in Sendai, the capital city of Miyagi prefecture. The deadly tsunami has destroyed most of the coastal areas in North East Japan, which includes Miyagi, Iwate, and Fukushima prefectures. The tsunami didn`t reach our city and the quake didn`t cause major damage. But the absence/shortage of electricity, water, and gas, gasoline, and food were the main problems here. especially for elderly and sick people and those with children. Fortunately, things are gradually getting better here and we`re very thankful for that.
